Honda and Acura EV Owners in Canada Now Have Access to Tesla Supercharger Network with Approved Adapters

If you drive electric, charging access matters. And for Honda and Acura EV owners in Canada, things just became much more convenient. Honda has officially confirmed that Honda Prologue and Acura ZDX drivers can now use Tesla Superchargers across North America with a Honda-approved adapter, expanding fast-charging access significantly.
The Honda-Approved NACS-CCS Adapter Explained
As of October 6, 2025, owners of the Honda Prologue and Acura ZDX can access more than 25,000 selected Tesla Superchargers. The newly released Honda-approved NACS-CCS DC fast-charging adapter is the only adapter tested and approved by Honda for performance and compatibility with these vehicles. This ensures a reliable charging experience while protecting the vehicle’s electrical system.
The adapter is available through authorized Honda and Acura dealerships across Canada with a manufacturer’s suggested retail price of $400*. Honda recommends using only approved adapters, as Tesla also requires certified equipment at its charging stations. Damage caused by unapproved adapters may not be covered under the vehicle’s limited warranty.
Finding and Using Tesla Superchargers
Locating a compatible Supercharger is simple. Drivers can use the built-in Google Maps system inside the Honda Prologue or Acura ZDX to quickly find authorized charging stations. At this time, charging sessions are initiated using the Tesla app. Integration with HondaLink and plug and charge capability are currently in development, which will further streamline the experience.
Expanding the Future of Public Charging
This announcement is part of Honda’s broader charging strategy. By 2030, Honda and Acura EV owners are expected to have access to approximately 100,000 DC fast-charge points across North America, including Tesla Superchargers, the upcoming IONNA network, and other open charging networks.
